Blogging from A to Z: N

Wine of the day: Nielluccio (French, red, often blended into rosé {I have NOT tried this})

Cheese of the day: Nabulsi (Jordan, sheep or goat, brined, semi-hard {I have NOT tried this})

Fruit of the day: Nectarine (Love these guys!)

Movie of the day: "The Number 23" (Jim Carrey can act. Also, I lived in apartment 23 when I watched this. Seriously.)

Album of the day: "New Way to be Human" by Switchfoot (Another favourite album from one of my all-time favourite bands! The song "Let That Be Enough" was my personal theme song for years. I suppose it still applies.)

Book of the day: "Nightfall" by Isaac Asimov (What if you lived on a planet that had multiple suns and never experienced night? If it only happened every few thousand years, who would believe it could happen and how could you prepare? Asimov is my favourite author ever. His Robot and Foundation series' are amazing.)

Country of the day: Netherlands (Home of Van Gogh and Rembrandt, two of my favourite painters. Also, this is where my people come from, six generations back. This country is often referred to as "Holland" but this is not entirely accurate. North and South Holland are 2 of 12 provinces here. Amsterdam, the capital, happens to be in North Holland. Another province there is Friesland, which I'm assuming is where my family name came from. Before I got married, of course.)

  1. Hello Bonnie! Victor here!
I've come to see what you said about Nectarines. I think I said more about them, but it's true I didn't say much.
Your pictures are fab. I think my Mummy has been to the Netherlands. She tells people that it's quicker for us to fly from Amsterdam than any of the main UK airports. I've never flown so I wouldn't know. I've been on a ferry though.
    love

  2. Likely every visitor to Amsterdam has photos of bikes. They are everywhere!
